Nomadic holidays on Lanzarote Island

Lanzarote is one of the Canary Islands, best known for its warm climate all year round, its spectacular beaches and its volcanic landscapes, but how can you see all the hidden gems that this beautiful island has to offer without missing out on anything?

Here is a guide for you to visit the island and not miss anything.

Day 1: Timanfaya, Montaña Bermeja Beach and Danube Salt Flats

As it is the first day, we assume that you come with a lot of energy and desire to explore the island, so we will travel to the Timanfaya National Park.

This park is a protected natural area, located in the municipalities of Yaiza and Tinajo. Its views from the top will not leave you indifferent, but remember to get your tickets to see these incredible views.

After this visit, we will set off for Playa de Montaña Bermeja, where we will also enjoy beautiful landscapes and crystal clear waters, where we can take a dip after the ascent to Timanfaya.

To finish the day, we will go to Salinas del Janubio, in the southwest of Lanzarote. These salt pans are the most extensive of the whole island and are still active today thanks to the support of the EU, which declared them a protected natural area.

Day 2: Guinate, Cueva de los Verdes, Jameos del Agua, and Punta Mujeres

On day two, we start in Guinate, a village in the municipality of Haría with a large tropical park with numerous species of plants and animals including the popular penguins.

We then continue north to the impressive Cueva de los Verdes. This volcanic structure is part of the volcanic tube created by the eruption of the Corona volcano.

After having been captivated by the cave, we will move on to Jameos del Agua, another paradisiacal place which, like the previous one, is the result of a volcanic accident. It has unique caverns where you can see its auditorium, eat in its restaurant and finish the day with a dip in its saltwater lake.

And we end the day visiting Punta Mujeres, a locality also in the municipality of Haría with more than two kilometres of natural pools, two of them well protected from the open sea.

Day 3: Playa Blanca, Papagayo and the César Manrique Foundation

And we reach the end of our itinerary firstly with Playa Blanca, a very touristic locality, where its landscapes of blue waters will leave you wanting to return.

Secondly, we will visit the Papagayo beaches, which are a group of beaches located around the Papagayo point, which is a small cape in the south of Lanzarote.

And finally, we will travel to the César Manrique Foundation, a private cultural institution whose aim is the conservation of the beautiful landscapes of the island, as well as the promotion of art and cultural reflection.

And that’s it folks! Travelling is one of life’s greatest pleasures, and what greater pleasure than to travel with all the comforts of home. From Van Vaz, we not only offer that comfort, but also the opportunity to travel with it to any place you propose.
